Winners of the “jewellery Oscars” named

The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards returned to The Goldsmiths’ Hall last week to celebrate the best of the best in jewellery craftsmanship. Among the winners of these prestigious awards were British Academy of Jewellery alumni, including Megan Rigby, who won Bronze in the Engravers, Die Sinkers & Seal Engravers category for her engraved copper plate.

Cooksongold now stocks largest range of Fairtrade gold in Europe

With the recent addition of a 9ct gold collection to its offering, jewellery supplier Cooksongold is now laying claim controlling the biggest Fairtrade gold range in Europe. Cooksongold first started stocking Fairtrade gold in 2011 and says that a recent surge in sales of the ethically sourced precious metal has led to it expanding its range.

Inhorgenta Munich celebrates top jewellery firms from all over the world at annual awards

Meanwhile, in Europe, Germany’s premier jewellery trade show Inhorgenta has been attracting buyers to its event in Munich, which is a showcase for branded jewels and jewellery designers. As part of the extravaganza, Inhorgenta hosted an awards ceremony to highlight leading jewellery companies from across Europe. winners included Hans. D Krieger, Concrete Jungle and Corinna Heller.

What you need to know about Solange’s eyelid jewellery

Face jewellery is an emerging fashion trend, and style bellwether Solange has showcased it on her new album cover. The signer chose to wear a face piece designed by Keren Wolf that spans across the eyebrows and bridge of the nose.
