IATA Students visit the British Academy of Jewellery

We recently welcomed a group of learners from the Institut D’Enseignement des Arts Techniques Science et Artisans, IATA, from Namur in Belgium who were on an exchange programme with us.

The learners worked on a project brief titled ‘Spectrum and Light’, encouraging the learners to explore London as a living kaleidoscope of colour and light. This project culminated in a small exhibition of jewellery held at the end of the week. The project was led by our BAJ tutor, Maya Ferroni, along with support from other members of the teaching and learning team.

Thank you to all BAJ staff who have made the learners feel very welcome. The learners produced some fantastic work whilst at the British Academy of Jewellery and discovered a range of new tools and techniques to take back to Belgium to utilise in their work going forward.
