Our new, fully-funded* Intensive Jewellery Manufacturing Diploma is designed for individuals who are interested in learning jewellery bench and manufacturing skills and want to pursue bench jeweller careers.
During this accredited course, students will gain an intensive and comprehensive jewellery manufacturing skill set. The qualification will provide proof of a basic practical ability, knowledge and understanding of jewellery-making at the standard recognised by employers in goldsmithing and allied trades.
After completion of the diploma, students may consider employment in the industry or becoming self-employed.

The course consists of 11 units which are delivered in jewellery manufacturing workshops. Each unit is assessed through practical and written work.
Skills that will be taught include:
- Workshop preparation and best practice
- Marking and measuring metal in line with detailed drawings and specs
- Piercing, forming and finishing metal to a commercial standard
- Joining jewellery through mechanical and soldering techniques
- Metallurgy
- Knowledge of the jewellery and allied trades
No previous jewellery qualifications are necessary.
This course is only available to learners who are eligible to receive National Skills Funding.
This course is only available to learners in London who are 19+ years old. Learners cannot have an existing level 3 qualification or any higher qualifications.
