Our course Stone Setting Techniques: Beginner is suitable for those with some preliminary knowledge of jewellery manufacturing, covers everything from tool making to settings, including tube settings, claw settings, flush settings and rub over settings. You will also learn how to set stones with a variety of different cuts, such as round cabochon, brilliant and princess-cut stones. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a BAJ certificate and will be perfectly placed to continue your jewellery journey into intermediate stone setting training.

During this course in setting, you will be introduced to a range of stone setting techniques and skills. Building on previous jewellery making skills, the course will include, but not be limited to;

  • Tube setting round cabochon stones.
  • Claw setting round brilliant cut stones.
  • Flush setting round brilliant cut stones.
  • Rub over setting round brilliant cut stones.

Entry requirements: You should have beginners’ manufacturing skills or have completed our beginners’ jewellery manufacturing course.
