Discover enamelling with our Jewellery Bench Skills: Enamelled Earrings or Pendant short course. This two-day course will teach you how to use enamels safely and allow you to explore a range of decorative enamelling techniques with which you can bring bold and beautiful colours into your own jewellery pieces.
You will learn how to prepare metal for enamelling, as well as how to apply enamels through dry sifting and create effects, such as layers, patterns and texture, with stencils and stamps. As you learn, you will make a series of sample pieces and will have the option to create either a pendant or a pair of earrings with the techniques you have studied at the end of the course.
During the course you will learn how to:
- Take the necessary health and safety precautions when working with enamels
- Prepare, apply and fire vitreous enamels
- Create decorative enamel effects, including sieving enamels with stencils, stamps, and applying silver foil to surfaces

Entry requirements: No previous experience is required. However, some knowledge of basic jewellery making techniques, such as using a piercing saw and drill, is advantageous.
Course duration: 2 days, 10 am – 4.30 pm
