In this three day class, you will learn about the fundamentals of jewellery design, learning professional drawing techniques to capture form with light and shade in pencil and gouache. You will be taken on an inspiring trip to the Goldsmiths library where you will be shown beautiful examples of jewellery illustrations from the 20th century in a private presentation. You will gather inspiration for designing a piece of jewellery and learn how to use and make mood boards to inspire a collection of jewellery. We will then explore painting techniques using gouache to capture traditional renderings of stones and metals before designing a piece of jewellery and painting a beautiful render of the design, with a presentation at the end.
