COURSE OVERVIEW

Learn to carve wax for jewellery making and gain insight into casting theory. Ideal for students taking jewellery-related courses, as well as jewellery professionals who want to expand their skillset, our short course will introduce you to a wide range of different wax carving techniques and casting knowledge.

The Wax Carving: Practice and Casting Theory course provides students with fundamental practical wax carving skills. Over the course of the programme, you will learn to understand different types of wax, prepare wax for carving, carry out a range of carving techniques, and prepare and finish wax for casting. You will also receive an introduction to casting theory and will finish the programme with a piece that is suitable for casting. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a BAJ certificate.
