Course Leader BA (Hons) Jewellery Design and Production

Reporting to: Head of Academy HE
Location: Central London
Salary: 0.8 (Pro-rated FTE – £38K)

We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and forward-thinking academic practitioner to join the British Academy of Jewellery’s new BA (hons) Jewellery Design and Production. 

The British Academy of Jewellery is an independent Further and Higher Education training provider, located in central London, and has been delivering specialist training programmes since 1999.

As Course Leader you will play a key role in the development and management of this new ground-breaking course, which aims to educate the creative and jewellery practitioners of the future. You will work closely with colleagues from the Academy to build a programme that blends production, design, business, and theory in an engaging and innovation-led course. You will provide a highly stimulating and nurturing environment for students and colleagues alike and will be responsible for assuring the academic standards of the course and its delivery through your academic leadership and the effective management of resources. You will have the opportunity to build partnerships across the creative industry, embed scholarly practice and education research and envision a programme that reconsiders the required skillsets of the creative practitioners of tomorrow.

Business Diploma Tutor

Reporting to: Head of Academy FE
Location: Across BAJ sites
Salary: £23-28 depending on experience

The British Academy of Jewellery is an independent Further and Higher Education training provider, with several locations in England, and has been delivering specialist training programmes since1999.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced business diploma tutor to be responsible for the learning and achievement of all learners you teach; whilst being accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct. The ideal candidate will have an impact on educational progress beyond their assigned pupils; and assist in the smooth running of the British Academy of Jewellery at all times. Additionally, the candidate will undertake any other duties as appropriate to the post.

Centre Operations Manager

Reporting to: Head of Operations
Location: Leicester
Salary: £32-35k

The British Academy of Jewellery is an independent Further and Higher Education training provider, located in central London, and has been delivering specialist training programmes since1999.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced operations manager to take responsibility for  overseeing the Academy’s recruitment, admissions and administration processes for the centre, including contributing to the strategic plan and supporting and reporting to the Head of Operations in its implementation. 

The postholder will be a highly motivated individual, with substantial experience of working within an operational management role and with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Experience of developing or enhancing administrative systems and proven analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential.

We are looking to appoint a friendly and approachable student and academic support administrator to join the Student and Academic Administration team at our busy, central London campus and various other locations outside London.

The Student And Academic Support Administrator will deliver an outstanding standard of customer service in a student-facing role catering to the needs of the Welcome Desk visitors. Working independently, the post holder will be able to deal calmly and confidently with a range of queries and questions and use practical experience and common sense to problem solve and improve clerical processes and procedures.
