Jewellery Making – (Limited spaces available)

Design, Make, Sell: BAJ’s subsidised programme in London in jewellery design and manufacturing.

Gain the skills required to go into a career in the jewellery industry on this fully subsidised programme.

The Design Make Sell course gives learners an introduction to the process of designing and making jewellery, along with the opportunity to learn and develop technical skills to create their own unique piece.  Additionally students receive a thorough introduction to entrepreneurial and employability skills, bolstered by a primer on jewellery retail.

Workshop sessions start with basic piercing and filing exercises in metal, exploring ways of shaping metal and an introduction to texturing metal.

Alongside this, design sessions encourage learners to experiment with different materials to generate design ideas and get the creative juices flowing.

Learners will explore how to design items of jewellery that make use of their newly found workshop skills, and will produce designs for a bespoke jewellery collection. The course culminates in the production of a piece of jewellery from these designs, which is accompanied by guidance on how to market and promote yourself as a jewellery entrepreneur.
