COURSE OVERVIEW

The course involves 140 hours of SIA approved Close Protection training with 3 days of First Aid. You will learn how to protect a principal, assess and mitigate risks and threats, plan and move safely on foot and in vehicles, learn how to deal with various incidents and how to extract your principal from dangerous situations. There are lots of practical exercises delivered by various instructors – all of whom have a wealth of industry experience behind them. Not only that, but you will undertake your training in central London, which is where you are most likely to work within the UK Close Protection environment. Successful candidates will also be added to our database and contacted for work opportunities that are sent on a weekly basis.

REQUIREMENTS

You need to be on JSA, ESA, Universal Credit or Income Support. You must be resident in the EU for the last 3 years and be over the age of 19.

You should have either at least 3 years security experience or be military/ex Police/ex Prison Service etc.

CAREER PROGRESSION

On completion of the course the career opportunities are endless due to the variety of skills developed on the course which are not solely specific to Close Protection. Those with suitable military experience may want to work abroad in hostile environments, whilst there is also a range of opportunities available within the UK and Europe. There are options to work in Residential Security Teams or Corporate security positions and those with a good knowledge of London may want to undertake security driving roles. As this is a Level 3 qualification, the course is a natural progression into both Supervisory and Management positions. There is also the option of opening and running your own security company.
