On Thursday 13th February 2025, we hosted ‘Jewellery for a Cause’, an art exhibition and sale run by our students, fundraising for charity.
Over 100 people attended the event, spending the evening at BAJ’s newly acquired Camden Town campus, taking in the art and mingling with industry professionals, staff, students and the wider BAJ community.
First and second-year BA (Hons) Jewellery Design and Production students collaborated in mixed-year groups to create and showcase striking ‘hero’ pieces, smaller charity designs and a fashion film to raise awareness and funds for their chosen causes. Each charity piece was on sale for under £5, adhering to the goal of creating affordable, accessible pieces with batch-production in mind. While the hero pieces highlighted the students’ standout creativity and craftsmanship, the charity designs reflected their commitment to using jewellery for social good.
Guests also enjoyed popcorn and drinks alongside a film viewing of each group’s creative process, documenting their collaboration.
