Lockdown Series | The next step for retail

In this episode of the BAJ Podcast: Lockdown Series, BAJ talks to Gary Williams, the Hatton Garden BID Chairman and director of Presman Mastermelt on the challenges faced by retailers today and the future of jewellery retail.

Gary is an energetic and enthusiastic supporter of the jewellery trade. He started his jewellery career in 1972 as a sales representative for a small jewellery wholesaler. Over the following years his roles have included 30 years as sales director of award-winning bridal manufacturer Brown & Newirth; ownership of retail jewellery stores and as chairman of the British Jewellers’ Association. Gary initiated and sat on the unification committee, which eventually joined the two trade associations (NAJ & BJA) to become the National Jewellers’ Association.

As professionals in the jewellery industry are forced to break with their usual routines, BAJ has been looking at the alternative ways in which jewellers can continue working. And what better time than now to discuss them? In our dedicated Lockdown podcast series, BAJ and guests will cover a range of topics providing insights those in the jewellery field navigating this difficult time.
