BAJ Podcast- Ep.64 The Chatham Legacy

The commercialisation of gemstones is one of the most heavily debated topics in the jewellery industry. Whether that is through the ethos of sourcing gems or creating them in a lab, innovation is abundant in the development of gemstones. Today we learn about Chatham Inc., a family-run business that is a pioneer in gemstone development, revolutionising the industry through their groundbreaking work. Carol Chatham, a visionary chemist, was the first to commercialise the flux growth of emeralds. His relentless innovation led to remarkable advancements in the growth of emerald, ruby, and other gemstone crystals.
