BAJ raises £2,738 for Blueprint for All with Charity Jewellery Auction

We are delighted to announce that the bids placed during our silent charity auction in support of Blueprint for All totalled £2,738.35.

The event, which ran from 30th March to 4th April 2021 and auctioned off 75 pieces created and donated both by members of our BAJ community and external jewellers, was a resounding success. With bids starting at £10, the auction raised over £1,000 in its first 24 hours.

All proceeds from our silent auction will go to Blueprint for All, formerly the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. This London-based non-profit works to empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through mentorship programmes and campaigns promoting equal access and inclusivity.

Blueprint for All mirrors our own core values, which include nurturing the rich diversity of our community and championing equality and accessibility.

“I would like to thank everybody who made our charity auction such a tremendous success,” said Sally Collins, BAJ Technical Diploma Coordinator and auction organiser. “These donations will allow us to support young people in our local community as they work to achieve their goals.”

“I am so proud of the creativity and generosity displayed by the Academy and the wider jewellery community during our auction,” commented Kate Rieppel, Head of Academy at BAJ. “It is truly gratifying to be able to support Blueprint for All as part of our wider commitment to inclusivity and enabling young people from all backgrounds to pursue the careers of their dreams.”
