Orthographic Drawing for Jewellery

Orthographic drawing is a crucial technical drawing method widely used in the industry to document designs, communicate with clients, resolve design issues, and collaborate with industry professionals such as mount-makers, setters, and engravers. Explore this fascinating discipline by learning the fundamental principles of this essential design tool in only one day!

We’ll begin with a brief introduction to the history and key rules of technical drawing, including line types and layout. Then, we’ll delve into the principles of orthographic drawing using a simple solitaire engagement ring to make our first technical drawing. When you have mastered this, you will tackle more complex ring examples supported by your tutor, to solidify your understanding.
