About Lynne
Among the leaders in this field is Lynne Craig, an innovation director, academic, and founder of Computational Adornment. Lynne is a designer dedicated to fostering conditions for impactful change across education, design, technology, and business. Her practice explores emerging technologies and cultural shifts, focusing on how these advancements can transform creative fields. Engaging with fashion, technology, jewellery, and craft in an AI-driven era, her work has been highlighted by the New York Times, Financial Times, BBC, Business of Fashion, The Telegraph, Dezeen, and Forbes.
Currently, Lynne’s research centres on “Dressing Robots”, a project at the intersection of AI and wearable design. She is a Senior Lecturer in Design Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, leads Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, and serves as Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director of Holition Augmented Retail. Lynne also advises the Goldsmiths Centre’s Technology Advisory and Strategy Committee.
