Hone essential jewellery manufacturing techniques as you make the components for your very own textured bangle. Suitable for beginner and intermediate jewellers who want to practise and refine their jewellery-making, Jewellery Bench Skills: Create a Textured Bangle is a four-day textured jewellery-making course giving you the opportunity to make real progress with your skills. Taught in small groups in the British Academy of Jewellery’s professional-quality bench workshops, the course will give you access to a broad range of handmaking tools. Our experienced tutors will guide you every step of the way as you create your bangle, offering personalised feedback to ensure that you are able not only to bring your design to life but also to make significant improvements to your jewellery-making skills.

What you will learn

In this 4 day workshop, you will explore and refine a range of jewellery-making skills to create a bespoke and handmade textured bangle.

The course includes the following skills and techniques:

  • Hot and cold connections (soldering and riveting)
  • Measure and marking
  • Piercing
  • Filing
  • Forming and shaping
  • Creating findings
  • Buffing, polishing and finishing

 

You will practice and perfect these techniques to create your unique and personalised bangle, and gain valuable skills and experience in jewellery fabrication and manufacture.
