In this episode, BAJ’s Sofie Boons speaks with one of the voices behind the new BAJ BA Course, Hollie Paxton. We discuss her jewellery career to date, covering the work she does for TV big hits such as Netflix, the BBC and Apple TV, her personal collections, bespoke commissions and her vision for the course.

Hollie Paxton is a jeweller and educator who has worked in the industry since 2006, when she started a jewellery business whilst doing a fine art degree. She then studied Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins, followed by a Masters at the Royal College of Art. Her collections (e.g., Precious Rubbish) bridge the contemporary and luxury spheres, and have been stocked in Selfridges and LN-CC; displayed at galleries such as Conduit Gallery and The Brighton Royal Pavillion; and acquired for Central Saint Martin’s Permanent Collections. She has also made jewellery and accessories for the film and TV industry – most recently for Netflix, Apple TV, and BBC productions.

With over 10 years’ experience teaching jewellery in higher and further education, Hollie has taught on the Widening Participation programme at Central Saint Martins, the Creative Mentor Foundation and more recently at The London College of Fashion. She has joined BAJ as BA (hons) Jewellery Design and Production Year 1 Lead.
