Best of The Met Gala 2025: Superfine Tailoring and Dazzling Jewels

Co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and honourary chairs LeBron James and Anna Wintour, the 2025 Met Gala was themed around their upcoming exhibit ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’.

An opulent celebration of black designers and exquisite tailoring, the dress-code ‘Tailored for You’ challenged guests to honour the evolution of menswear and the legacy of black dandyism, a fashion revolution steeped in resistance, elegance, pride and identity. Odes to cultural declaration, representation and vibrant self-expression were at the forefront this year.

“I see dandyism as a set of rules and standards that reflect a certain sophistication and well-traveled taste,” Co-chair Pharrell Williams told Vogue in a recent interview. “I want it to feel like the most epic night of power, a reflection of Black resiliency in a world that continues to be colonised, by which I mean policies and legislation that are nothing short of that.”

From Teyana Taylor’s show-stopping crimson ensemble to Damson Idris’ mid-carpet outfit change, the looks that graced the carpet proved to be a powerful showcase of identity and artistry, blending personal style with cultural heritage.

We’ve shone the spotlight on our favourite 2025 Met Gala looks below, highlighting the jewellery that reinforced their impact.

Teyana Taylor – Delivering one of this year’s most adored looks, Teyana wore an ensemble created in collaboration with Marc Jacobs, Taylor herself, and Academy Award-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter. Covered in natural diamonds, Taylor was also adorned with a bib necklace, brooches, lapel chains and waist chains by David Yurman.

Colman Domingo – The co-chair wowed in a bespoke Valentino royal blue cape paired with the Boucheron ‘Iceberg’ necklace and Serpent Bohème Solarité Asymmetrical Stud Earring cuff. He then removed the extravagant cape, to reveal a high-contrast checkered suit also by Valentino. A sparkling pearl was attached at every intersection of the checkers, adding another element of theatricality and sparkle.

Chance the Rapper – An underrated look in our opinion, Chance delivered with this fit, wearing Versace (with Donatella on his arm as his date) and Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. brooches, including Peapod and Paris Flames designs.

Lewis Hamilton – co-chair – Wearing a custom Wales Bonner suit with Briony Raymond Asscher cut diamond stud earrings, a 1980s white, yellow, and pink diamond brooch pinned to his lapel, a 1980s multi-coloured diamond brooch on his beret and multiple statement rings. His stylist, Eric McNeal, took to Instagram to describe “Ancestral beads and freshwater pearls shine with garnet-colored diamonds,” as “eternal amulets.”

A$AP Rocky – Co-chair A$AP wore a custom design from his own creative agency, AWGE and accessorised with the Eternal Ruby necklace, anchored by a never-before-seen 12.29-carat drop-shaped ruby and flanked by 22 brilliant diamonds. Pinned to his lapel: a pink gold brooch with a 15.34-carat cushion-cut peridot, rubellites, and diamonds. On his wrist: The Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC—the world’s thinnest mechanical chronometer at just 1.70mm thick. A special mention to his glittering set of grillz, 90-carat diamond-encrusted custom umbrella and statement pinky ring.

The earrings housed 3.96 carats of diamonds and 0.4 carats of onyx, crafted over 319 hours.

Shah Rukh Khan – Dressed by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Shah wore an understated yet superfine wool and silk ensemble, paired with layered chains, including a crystal-studded ‘K’ pendant, (likely a nod to his ‘King Khan moniker), and a diamond Sabyasachi star brooch. He carried a cane with a bejewelled Bengal Tiger head, crafted in 18k gold with tourmalines, sapphires, old mine cut and brilliant cut diamonds.

Isha M. Ambani – Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, Isha stunned in a custom creation by Indian designer Anamika Khanna, paired with her own show-stopping diamonds. Boasting over 481 carats of diamonds, Ambani’s necklace is a custom-made replica of Cartier’s famed Toussaint Necklace, as seen in the 2018 film Ocean’s 8.
