Graduate Stories: Naki Kaddu

We speak to BAJ alumnus and owner of jewellery brand Nakibirango London, Naki Kaddu, about her time at our London academy and how she crafted a name for herself in the jewellery industry.

Naki graduated from BAJ’s Silversmithing and Jewellery Manufacturing Level 2 Diploma in 2011. After originally launching Kizmet Designer Jewellery, Naki evolved her brand into Nakibirango London, after her full name and where her studio is based. Naki’s designs have been featured in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar and retail from her online shop. Her designs reflect her Ugandan and Irish heritage and mix inspiration from both the natural and spiritual realms.

At BAJ, we teach in-depth, professional jewellery making techniques across our varied course portfolio to give budding jewellers the best start possible to their career in the industry. In our Graduate Stories series, we catch up with some of our former students to find out what they have gone on to achieve after studying at BAJ. See Naki’s full-length video interview below to find out what she learnt at BAJ that was key to her success.
