Overview

Explore textures in metal and craft your own handmade pieces, including a textured copper cuff, silver open/bypass ring, and textured bangle, in this hands-on workshop.
You’ll experiment with copper using torches, rolling mills, and hammers to create a range of surface textures, then transform your chosen textures into finished wearable jewellery. Along the way, you’ll gain practical skills in piercing, filing, shaping, and forming metal, guided by a tutor who who provide personalised feedback to help you bring your designs to life and improve your jewellery-making techniques.
The course gives you access to a broad range of handmaking tools to support your creativity.

Course Description

During the course, you will explore techniques including soldering and riveting, measuring and marking, piercing, filing, forming and shaping, creating findings, buffing, polishing and finishing, as you make your unique and personalised bangle. Upon finishing the programme, you will receive a BAJ Certificate of Completion.

No previous experience is required, this course is suitable for beginners.
