British Academy of Jewellery is delighted to announce that its students raised a total of £400 to donate to UK charity Create at recent festive sale events in London and Birmingham. The charity fundraiser followed on from last year’s successful sale and gave the BAJ community a chance to come together before the winter holidays.
BAJ’s winter decoration exhibitions took place at its London and Birmingham campuses. To get in the festive spirit, BAJ learners, tutors, and friends gathered for mince pies, fizz, and a chance to raise funds for charity while purchasing handmade ornaments. BAJ Birmingham learners also exhibited their work at Cooksongold’s shop for a week to raise some extra festive funds.
BAJ students sold their unique, handmade winter decorations for £10 each to raise a total of £400. The funds will be donated to Create, a UK creative arts charity based in London and Manchester which works to give a wide range of people access to creative skills and experiences.
The Wonderful Winter Decorations project is one of a number of exhibitions BAJ diploma students have the opportunity to participate in throughout the year.
