Matt is a homegrown member of the BAJ team, discovering his passion for jewellery on a short course at the Academy. He continued his studies with a Diploma and began working as a Technician at the same time. 

His passion for exploring manufacturing techniques and sharing his knowledge with others is what motivates him day to day. He often looks to the jewellery of the past to find inspiration in specialist techniques such as stone carving and granulation. 

With a keen focus on developing students’ knowledge of how to use and create their own tools, he is committed to providing students with the skills to thrive.
